No matter what industry I’ve found myself in, from mortgage, medical, military, telecom, IT, and even landscaping and plowing snow… I end up gravitating toward finding and solving workflow problems. I truly enjoy seeing the results of something as simple as two employees in different departments having a much easier time performing their day-to-day tasks after I’ve helped solve a disconnect or process gap. I’ve never fit neatly in a box, which as a young job hunter was a curse, but now that I’m much older and hopefully a little wiser I realize it’s a gift. I love floating between departments and seeing how everything fits together. Having that overall view and ability to see which areas to target first to get the most ROI is actually fun.
